Williams To Join Newgate Stallion Operation

Long time New South Wales representative Tony ‘Tubba’ Williams has resigned from the Magic Millions operation to take up a role with the Newgate Stallion operation.

Magic Millions’ Managing Director Vin Cox said Williams would be a loss for the company.

“Tony is one of the country’s most popular and respected industry members and he will be greatly missed at Magic Millions,” Cox said.

“We wish him all the best in joining the Newgate Stallions operation, he is sure to be a welcome addition to their progressive business.”

“Over the years Tony has been a much loved member of the bloodstock industry and we look forward to our strong relationship with him continuing into the future,” Cox added.

Williams said he was looking forward to a new challenge after an extremely rewarding time with Magic Millions.

“Gerry Harvey and Magic Millions have been fantastic to me,” he said. “I’m seriously sad to go, but nothing stays the same forever and it was time to move on.”

“I have taken the position of Operations Manager of Newgate Stallions and with Foxwedge the first of the stallions on the roster it is certainly an exciting time for all concerned.”

“I’ve been in the industry for 37 years now and Magic Millions has provided the biggest development for me personally in the bloodstock industry.”

“The friendships and connections made are hard to put into words. You just don’t meet people like that very often. I’ve learned so much and loved my time with Magic Millions,” Williams added.

Newgate are delighted to have gained the services of Williams.

“We are thrilled that Tony Williams is joining  the Newgate Stallion operation, Tony comes with a long and hugely successful career in the thoroughbred industry having spent the best part of the last decade with the Magic Millions,” Newgate’s Henry Field said.

“With his experience, knowledge, work ethic and integrity, Tony is tremendously well placed to be a driving force in our business going forward,” Field added.

Williams finishes up with Magic Millions in early May.
