The upcoming Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale has been boosted with a pair of impressive wins at Moonee Valley last night.
Valuabelle and Zedi Knight both scored strong wins and their successes were timely for their breeders who are offering their younger siblings at this month’s Morphettville auction.
Progressive mare Valuabelle made it back to back Moonee Valley wins when she cruised home in her 1200 metre event to win by a length and a half.
Prepared in South Australia by Dennis O’Leary, Valuabelle is one of four winners (three at metro level) for the stakes performed Chanteclair mare Nervola Belle.
A three time winner at two and runner-up in the listed Queen’s Plate in Perth, Nervola Belle is a full sister to the multiple stakes winner Chantes Path.
Nervola Belle’s latest yearling, an attractive filly by popular SA based sire Blevic, is being prepared by Kambula Stud for the Adelaide Yearling Sale. She is catalogued as lot 52.
As has been the case over many years Kambula Stud has an outstanding draft of yearlings heading to the Adelaide Yearling Sale.
Joining Valuabelle in the winner’s stall last night at the premium Valley meeting was the tough sprinter Zedi Knight.
A six-year-old son of Zeditave prepared by Brendan McCarthy, Zedi Knight made it consecutive wins in $100,000 features when he beat track specialist True Persuasion by a length.
At his previous start Zedi Knight beat Launay and Secret Flyer by a length and a quarter victory in the listed Hareeba Stakes at Mornington.
A winner of eight of his 25 starts, Zedi Knight is one of three winners produced by the stakes winner Sealed Bid mare Sly Sandra.
Sly Sandra, who won a Matriarch Stakes at Flemington, has a yearling filly by exciting young Flying Spur stallion Primus set to go under the hammer at the Adelaide Yearling Sale.
Catalogued as lot 105, the chestnut filly is Super Vobis qualified and will be one of the most admired youngsters from a quality Chatswood Stud draft.
