An outstanding line up of broodmares from one of Australia’s most successful thoroughbred dynasties will be dispersed at the Magic Millions National Sale during May and June.

The Teeley Assets Complete Unreserved Dispersal of Broodmares and Reduction Sale of weanlings and race fillies will give buyers the opportunity to secure bloodstock from some of the country’s most sought after families.

The horses will be presented at the auction by Arrowfield Stud, who will act as selling agent for Teeley Assets. The quality packed draft will go under the hammer unreserved at the Gold Coast from May 26 to June 5.

Since emerging on the scene with the purchase of grand producer Shantha’s Choice in 1993, Teeley Assets owner Muzaffar Yaseen has developed a highly successful thoroughbred operation.

Shantha’s Choice, his first yearling sale purchase for $220,000, was a Victorian winner but was prematurely retired through injury after just two starts. She was sent to emerging sire Danehill in her maiden season at stud.

The result was Redoute’s Choice – one of the thoroughbred industry’s greatest success stories. A winner of the Group One Blue Diamond Stakes at two, Redoute’s Choice notched five wins, including four at racing’s elite level before being retired to Arrowfield Stud where he has been an outstanding success.

In the ensuing years Mr Yaseen’s Teeley Assets has assembled one of the country’s most impressive bloodstock portfolios – breeding and racing many stars including last year’s Blue Diamond Stakes winner Miracles of Life as well as stallions Manhattan Rain and Platinum Scissors.

The unreserved sale at the Gold Coast will comprise 51 broodmares, 31 weanlings, 4 yearlings and a select group of race fillies including Taste of Heaven and Drifting Cube. 

The Complete Unreserved Dispersal of Broodmares of Teeley Assets will include outstanding prospects Monsoon Wedding (in foal to Pierro), Precious Lorraine (in foal to Stratum), Ten Carat Rock (in foal to Fastnet Rock) and The Broken Shore (in foal to Fastnet Rock).

Other lots to go under the hammer in the broodmare dispersal are stakes winners Abbadena, Beauty School, Estelle Collection, Fritz’s Princess, Gina Lollawitcha, Whisper Bay and Zipanese as well as the dams of Group One winners Absolutely, Cheeky Choice and Miracles of Life.

The Teeley sale will include a reduction of 31 quality weanlings by sires including Fastnet Rock, Manhattan Rain, More Than Ready, Redoute’s Choice, Sepoy, Stratum and Testa Rossa.

Among the weanlings will be half or full relations to stakes winners including Cheeky Choice, I’m All The Talk, Lankan Rupee, Miracles of Life and Packing Ok.

Completing the outstanding draft will be four yearlings – three fillies and a colt – all by Group One winning sire Manhattan Rain.
