The catalogue for Australia’s most popular thoroughbred auction, the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, is now online.
Featuring the cream of the region’s yearling crop, the first five sessions of the auction comprising Book 1 is made up of 892 quality lots. The sale will commence on January 11.
All of Australia’s leading sires are represented including Fastnet Rock, Lonhro, Redoute’s Choice, More Than Ready and Encosta de Lago as well as exciting freshmen sires including Northern Meteor, Sebring and Henrythenavigator.
The outstanding catalogue includes (at least) half relations to star gallopers including Absolut Glam, Albert the Fat, Black Piranha, Charge Forward, Fastnet Rock, Melito, Once Were Wild, Racing to Win, Rock Kingdom, Streama, Toorak Toff, Universal Prince and Whobegotyou.
Group One winning mare with progeny set to go under the hammer include Allow, Aqua d’Amore, Cheeky Choice, Danni Martine, Hasna, Hill of Grace, Inaflury, Lotteria, Penny Gem, Perfect Promise, Portland Singa, Regimental Gal, She’s a Meanie, Sydney’s Dream, Tempest Morn, Universal Queen and Upsetthym.
“The Gold Coast Yearling Sale is renowned for quality, variety and value,” Magic Millions Managing Director Vin Cox said. “The 2012 sale will be no different.”
“The 2012 sale will include many future Group One winners and statistics tell us the catalogue will most likely include the 2013 Golden Slipper winner – plus dozens more stakes winners around Australia and abroad.”
The catalogue can also now be downloaded to the equineline Sales Catalogue App for iPads – and users can assign ratings, make conformation notes, record veterinary information and write on and highlight catalogue pages in colour. Users can also create “short lists” and view mini catalogues with the important information suited to that individual.
