Entries close tomorrow for Australia’s most progressive yearling sale – the 2011 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale – to be held at the Gold Coast from June 6-9.
The sale last year returned the biggest increases across all levels of any major yearling sale held in Australia.
The yearling component is just one section of the world famous National Sale – where Weanlings, Yearlings, Race Fillies, Broodmares and Breeding Stock as well as Racehorses will go under the hammer.
“The National Yearling Sale was the best performing auction of its kind last year,” Magic Millions Acting Managing Director David Chester reported.
“The average price last year went up 65 per cent and the gross was up a staggering 89 per cent on the 2009 edition of the sale.”
“We had an outstanding buying bench on hand last year and the top price was $400,000 – and we sold 23 yearlings for $100,000 or more – another record.”
The National Yearling Sale is quickly establishing itself as a premier source of star gallopers with graduates including star Group One winners Princess Coup, Rocket Man, Heavenly Glow, Tell a Tale and Golden Slipper winner Polar Success.
Other graduates include Speedy Natalie, Illuminates, The Jackal, Curved Ball and leading young WA sire Saxon.
“A number of vendors have already told us they are now targetting this sale with some quality youngsters – we’re really looking forward to the National Yearling Sale in 2011,” Chester added.
Entries for all sections of the National Sale close tomorrow and queries should be directed to the Bloodstock Department of Magic Millions.
