Magic Millions graduates continued their outstanding run in juvenile races yesterday when Biggles and All the Torque led home trifecta results for the auction house at Ipswich.

Biggles, a son of Jet Spur, kicked away the juvenile events when he cruised to a three quarter length win over Dreamy Dazzler (Red Dazzler), while Adnocon’s full brother Wishbone Jack (Clang) was third.

Sent out as the $2.60 second favourite, Biggles is trained for the Anderson and Mawby families by Noel Doyle and was ridden to victory by Jim Byrne.

A runner up prior to yesterday’s victory, Biggles has now earned connections $28,500 – a figure set to rise dramatically over the coming months and seasons.

Biggles was a highly admired yearling when he went under the hammer at last year’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

A member of the Glenlogan Park draft he was knocked down to leading bloodstock agent Kieran Moore for $160,000.

In April a full brother to Biggles was purchased by Magic Millions as agent ofr $65,000 at the 2011 QTIS 600 Yearling Sale.

Biggles is one of seven winners, from seven to race, for the lightly raced Last Tycoon mare Be Faithful.

A full sister to South African stakes performer Tartan Tycoon, Be Faithful is the dam of Melbourne winner Viva Vettori, Brisbane winner Miss Jones and Sydney winner Snatch It.

He hails from the same family as international Group One winners including Chief Contender, Aviance, Chimes of Freedon, Aldebaran, Good Journey, Denon, Spinning World and Saddex.

Biggles is a gelded son of Jet Spur, the group winning sprinter son of Flying Spur – sire of stakes winner Belle d’Amour, stakes placed Equissential and Flying Jet and city winners Doug’s Jet, Jet Star Girl and Kahui. His oldest progeny are just three.

Just over half an hour later All the Torque led home another Magic Millions trifecta when he scored a thrilling win over Stop Crying (Greenwood Lake) and Winds Me Up (Stromberg Carlson).

Prepared by former Atherton based horseman Nathan Schofield, All the Torque was sent out as a $7 pop with bookies after running fifth in the Great Northern Plate to Rocket to Glory and then fourth at his last outing at the Sunshine Coast.

All the Torque has turned out an early bargain buy from last year’s Magic Millions QTIS 600 Yearling Sale at the Gold Coast.

He was purchased by his trainer Nathan Schofield for just $7,000 from the draft of Darlington Stud for his breeders the Heinrich Bloodstock Syndicate.

As it stands the city performed youngster has already earned his connections $21,000.

The bay gelding is the first named foal for the unraced Catbird mare Majestic Slipper. She is a half sister to Sydney winner Private Dan and Melbourne winner Celtic Rise.

Further back in the pedigree is former crack sprinter and wonderful sire General Nediym, Japan Cup winner Horlicks, Melbourne Cup winner Brew, crack filly Laelia, AJC Derby winner Fiumicino and influential sires Interstellar and Military Plume.

All the Torque is the eighth individual first crop winner for the Oaklands Stud based All Bar One – who with Nadeem is the leading freshman sire by winners for the season.
