While previous sale graduates continue to star around the globe, the youngsters heading to next month’s Magic Millions National Horses in Training Sale are beginning to impress.
One such juvenile, a youngster by former racetrack speedster All Bar One, stepped out at the official Toowoomba trials yesterday and duly won his heat.
Peterhof, as the two-year-old is named, won a 650 metre head under Adam Best in 39.67 seconds – beating his rivals by a half length.
Catalogued as lot 50 in the popular auction, the colt is QTIS eligible and is from a daughter of VRC Oaks winner Weekend Delight and is closely related to Emirates Stakes winner Tears I Cry.
All up five two-year-olds by All Bar One are catalogued for the sale.
Another first season sire with a trial winner at the Toowoomba heats yesterday was Chateau Istana.
A Group Two winning son of Grand Lodge, Chateau Istana also has five exciting young prospects in the Horses in Training Sale catalogue.
The Breeze Up sessions for the October sale are fast approaching with sessions at the Gold Coast Turf Club kicking away the action next Monday and Tuesday (September 20 and 21).
The attention switches to Victoria where the Seymour Racecourse will host a session on Thursday (September 23).
And wrapping up the three venues is Rockhampton on the following day (Friday, September 24).
All three Breeze Up sessions will kick away at 10am.
The Breeze Ups will be recorded and available for viewing on DVDs, online and at the sales complex at the time of the auction.
The horses will then go under the hammer at the Gold Coast on October 27 and 28.
Recent graduates of the Magic Millions National Horses in Training Sale include Shocking, Graceful Anna, Masquerader, Whipsaw, Fifteen Carat, Deer Valley, Viva Pronto, Gingerbread Man and Bionic Boy.
