Bonny mare Single Gaze added a Group Two weight-for-age success to her outstanding record when she won the PJ O’Shea Stakes (2200m).

It completed a full set of feature wins for the daughter of Not a Single Doubt who has now won at Group One, Group Two, Group Three and Listed level for connections.

She has turned out an incredible investment after her purchase by trainer Nick Olive for $70,000 at the 2014 Gold Coast Yearling Sale where she was sold by Redbank North.

A winner of $1,448,600 from just 21 starts, Single Gaze is a valuable broodmare prospect. She is a three quarter sister to the Queensland stakes winner and fellow Gold Coast Yearling purchase Le Val.

Jockey Kathy O’Hara and trainer Nick Olive paid their respects to the connections of Cylinder Beach who tragically broke down in the straight.

Rising staying talent Payroll scored a breakthrough stakes success in the listed Spear Chief Handicap (1630m) earlier in the afternoon.

Aided by a copybook ride from champion Melbourne jockey Damien Oliver, Payroll was able to come through the field and then fly home on the inside of runners to win by a head.

In an all Magic Millions finish, Payroll edged out Maryore, while Double Impact and Man of His Word were the best of the rest, in third and fourth place.

An $80,000 purchase for her trainer Richard Laming at the 2014 Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Payroll is also by Not a Single Doubt and is from for the lightly raced Red Ransom mare Workhard.

It was almost a metropolitan double for Workhard’s progeny today. Earlier in the day her son Arbeitsam was narrowly beaten in Sydney.

Payroll, now a winner of $266,900, was racing for the second time since a gallant third placing in the $1 million Magic Millions Trophy (2200m) in January.

Another well bred female galloper scoring a valuable stakes win on the Doomben card was Snitty Kitty in the listed Lightning Handicap (1050m).

Sent out the $4.40 favourite after a second placing in the recent Denise’s Joy Quality at Scone, Snitty Kitty proved too strong under Tim Clark to win well.

A daughter of influential Arrowfield Stud sire Snitzel, Snitty Kitty was purchased by her trainer Henry Dwyer for $175,000 from the Willow Park Stud draft at the 2015 Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

Already the lightly raced filly has earned almost $200,000 and she’s now one of the most valuable three-year-old fillies trained from Caulfield.

Snitty Kitty is one of three winners for the unraced Tale of the Cat mare Lassiter’s Cat, a half sister to multiple group winner Delbrae. She hails from the famous Leica family.

The ladies were cheering earlier in the day at Doomben when quality youngster Cellargirl won the listed Bill Carter Stakes (1200m).

A former Magic Millions Racing Women runner, Cellargirl is owned entirely by ladies and they were celebrating when their charge proved too strong for fellow Gold Coast graduates Skate to Paris, She’s Our Star and Pretty Fast.

Cellargirl was purchased by her trainer Kelly Schweida for $90,000 from the draft of Vinery Stud at last year’s Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

Having already banked $117,300, Cellargirl has turned out quite the investment. She is the 170th individual stakes winner for champion international sire More Than Ready and is a half sister to the stakes winner Cellarman.

Cellargirl, who has won two of her four starts, was ridden to success by outstanding Queensland jockey James Orman.

Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale graduate Pardoe extended his unbeaten run this campaign to four when he scored a dominant win in The Phoenix Stakes (1350m), the Doomben opener.

Handled by Hugh Bowman, Pardoe made it back to back stakes wins when he led home a Magic Millions clean sweep to win by almost two lengths.

Prepared at Toowoomba by Tony Sears, Pardoe carries the colours of her part owners, famed Queensland nursery Eureka Stud.

A colt by Red Dazzler, Pardoe is a full brother to last season’s crack North Queensland youngster Party Pardee.

The colt’s dam, two time winner Pardees, is a three quarter sister to stakes winner Personal Ensign, the dam of last year’s National Broodmare Sale star, the $1.1 million mare Fontiton.

Pardoe has won all four of his runs this campaign since breaking his maiden at Warwick by three lengths in mid-April and is almost certain for a future career in Asia
