Missy Longstocking could be in for the biggest pay day in Queensland racing history after extending her unbeaten run in the Group Three $150,000 BJ McLachlan Stakes (1200m) at Doomben on Saturday.

The Sequalo filly, now the winner of four races from four starts, heads to the $2 million Jeep Magic Millions 2YO Classic and as well as the $1.14 million for the first placegetter she is eligible for a rich world first bonus.

Solely owned by Judith Clairs, the Liam Birchey trained Missy Longstocking is eligible for the $500,000 Magic Millions Racing Women initiative where the first 100% female owned or leased two-year-old over the line in the Classic will pocket a cool $325,000.

On Saturday Missy Longstocking settled further back in the field and showed outstanding acceleration to win by over a length.

“We wanted to try riding her a bit more quietly to cover a few scenarios,” Birchley told AAP.

“If the situation occurred in the Millions where for whatever reason something happened and she ended up back in the field, we wanted to know she would be able to adapt.”

“I think she showed today that she can handle being ridden anywhere in the field,” he added.

“I had her about 90 to 95 per cent fit but she’ll be right at her top for the Millions.”

Bruce Slade, stable manager for Gai Waterhouse, said connections were thrilled with the effort of the runner up Sweet Idea.

Third placegetter Architect, who was green in the straight, also enhanced its chances of clinching a place in the field for the $2 million Classic.

Missy Longstocking, a $7,500 bargain buy from the draft of Annecy Bloodstock, is yet another Queensland bred star by renowned sire Sequalo.

A former classy racehorse, Sequalo has made his mark with countless winners around Australia and abroad.

Missy Longstocking is one of 18 stakes winners and 566 winners for the Moir Stakes winner and sire of fellow stars Star Shiraz, Burdekin Blues and Sequential Charm.

Her dam, the three time winning Thunder Gulch mare Linyanti, is from an unraced Ron Bon half sister to Group One Karrakatta Plate winner Highpak and group winning filly Duendee.
