Magic Millions’ Sales Director David Chester has joined an illustrious group of Australians being announced as one of seven recipients of the 2012 Australian Export Heroes Awards.
The awards, created just over ten years ago, recognise individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to building Australia’s position and performance in international trade.
A long time Managing Director of the company, current Sales Director, and Australia’s longest-serving Bloodstock Agent, Chester has seen Magic Millions grow from humble beginnings to one of the top thoroughbred auction houses in the world, achieving outstanding export results.
“The award is great recognition for the entire team at Magic Millions,” Chester said. “We have worked hard over the years on expanding our company with an ever growing group of international clients.”
“Our graduates have quickly established themselves at the highest level of racing in many countries including South Africa, Singapore, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Korea, Macau and China.”
Created in 1997, the Australian Institute of Export has invited 94 of the nation’s leading exporters to join the Australian Export Heroes register.
“There are many facets to developing our export culture in Australia. As well as adding to growth of our international trade, the Export Heroes have contributed to Australia’s image as a progressive member of the international business community and are role models for future generations of Australian exporters,” Ian Murray, Executive Director of the Australian Institute of Export said.
The presentation of the awards, by the Governor of New South Wales, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC, will be made on April 16 at Government House.
Past recipients of the awards have included The Wiggles, Peter Beattie, Sir Charles Court, Wolf Blass and Gina Rinehart.
