Outstanding filly Military Rose will go under the hammer at June’s Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale at the Gold Coast.
A winner of over $1.5 million from just 10 lifetime starts, Military Rose is being sold as a racing and breeding proposition.
The filly by General Nediym was one of the nation’s top juveniles last season and won the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic prior to victory in the Group Two Reisling Stakes in Sydney.
“Military Rose is sure to be one of the top prospects to go under the hammer in Australia this year,” Magic Millions Acting Managing Director David Chester commented.
“She had great speed and stamina and was one of the top two-year-olds of the country last season.”
“There won’t be many better prospects to go under the hammer. She’s a Magic Millions Classic winner, by a Magic Millions Classic winner and her progeny are sure to be sought after in the years to come.”
The Heinrich Bloodstock operation have entered a selection of quality prospects for the sale and others include the stakes winner Swiss Rose, group placed Sweepstaking and well related multiple winner Chilly Ruler.
As well a number of the stable’s proven winners and exciting young gallopers will go under the hammer at the National Racehorse Sale.
“The National Broodmare Sale is shaping up as one of the real highlights on the bloodstock calendar for 2011,” Chester said.
“We’ve had some outstanding fillies and mares entered and we’re sure buyers will be impressed with the range of quality on offer.”
“The catalogue is currently being finalised and any vendors or owners should contact our Bloodstock Department as a matter of priority if they are yet to lodge their entries.”
Over 600 youngsters have been lotted for the 2011 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale and that catalogue will be heading to the printers shortly.
The first session of the National Weanling Sale is scheduled for May 25.
