JET SPUR COLT HEADLINES KOREAN DOUBLE
The exceptional run for Glenlogan Park stallion Jet Spur has continued with a brilliant eight length winner in Korea on Sunday.
Wangool, a three-year-old colt, led his rivals a merry dance in his Busan contest to notch career win number four in dashing style.
Jet Spur enjoyed a great weekend with a pair of two-year-old winners including Flying Jet at Eagle Farm as well as an impressive three-year-old winner at the Gold Coast.
His Korean based son Wangool, an $18,000 purchase from last year’s National Horses in Training Sale, continued the run when he stunned his rivals to win by eight lengths.
The colt is from the once raced Timber Country mare Kosciusko Country – a half sister to the four time Group One placed Palate.
Kosciusko Country is a daughter of the Talindert Stakes winner Julep and is therefore a half sister to the Group One SA Derby winner Vacuum.
The win was one of two on the day for Magic Millions graduates who were selected and purchased by renowned KRA bloodstock agent Lee Myung Gul.
The other winner for Mr Lee came in the form of Muhanbulpae, a gelded son of Hussonet who won his third race.
Muhanbulpae, a $13,000 Gold Coast purchase last year, is the first runner to date for the four time winning Eagle Eyed mare Tears of an Eagle.
She is from Ball Park’s twice winning half sister Tears for Tristram – making her a half sister to the former classy Mark Kavanagh trained Danabaa.
“Mr Lee is currently here on the Gold Coast inspecting horses at this week’s National Horses in Training Sale,” Magic Millions International Director David Chester said.
“He is a regular at many of our sales and he’s had great success buying from us over the years.”
“He is a great judge of horseflesh and has an eye for value,” Chester added.
The 2010 Magic Millions National Horses in Training Sale will be held at the Gold Coast on Wednesday and Thursday.
