For the second straight Brisbane metropolitan meeting Magic Millions graduates have dominated.

On Saturday at Doomben seven of the eight races were won by graduates of the Gold Coast sales ring.

The trend continued at Eagle Farm today when six of the seven events fell to graduates of Australia’s most winning sales company.

In the two races in which were not won by MM graduates – they ran second and the margins were a nose and a neck.

Our Hussey ($65,000 at 2009 National Horses in Training) kicked away today’s winning streak by winning the opening event over 1200 metres.

The three-year-old daughter of Hussonet was purchased by her trainer Bruce Hill and was ridden to her length and a half victory by stable jockey Paul Hammersley.

A Baramul Stud graduate by Hussonet, Our Hussey is from Danewell, an unraced Danehill half sister to Sarson Trail (later known as Royal Treasure in Hong Kong).

Just over half an hour later Havatryst ($17,000 at 2009 GC Yearling) kicked away his career in style when he careered away to win his 1200 metre event by a widening six lengths.

By Danehill’s stakes winning and Group One placed son Foreplay, Havatryst is from a Groom Dancer half sister to group performed duo Miss Meliss and Santoya.

Further back Havatryst’s pedigree includes the international Group One winners Cacao and King Ruckus.

The Patinack Farm colours made a trip to the winner’s stall in the third race when Unpaid ($80,000 at 2007 National Weanling) raced home an easy winner.

He led home his rivals in the 1835 metre race by over two lengths with star Brisbane jockey Stathi Katsidis sitting quietly.

The Black Minnaloushe gelding is from a winning Sky Chase daughter of New Zealand One Thousand Guineas winner Olga’s Pal.

Embraer (P$4,000 at 2008 National Yearling) gave his connections plenty to cheer about when under Brad Stewart he cruised to a one length success.

Trained by Nicky Harrison, Embraer is a son of Shovhog and graduate of Bridgeview Stud.

He is the first winner to date for his dam, the lightly raced and placed Celtic Swing mare Powder and Paint. She hails from the family of Group One winner Ideal Planet.

Magic Millions graduates made it five from five when talented sprinter Silvern ($8,000 at 2007 GC Yearling Sale) strolled home under Eddie Wilkinson.

Purchased as a yearling by the McLachlan Place Racing Stables, Silvern is trained by Jason McLachlan.

The Lujain gelding, a graduate of Vinery Stud, is from a twice winning Barathea mare who’s a daughter of the four time stakes winning mare Red Chiffon.

A race later the well bred four-year-old mare Geblitz ($20,000 at 2008 GC Yearling Sale) made up for an unlucky last start effort when a comprehensive winner for Steven O’Dea and Ryan Wiggins.

The daughter of Testa Rossa is a half sister to the stakes performed five time winner Madibagold – being a daughter of the Group One performed End Sweep mare Aim for Gold.

Aim for Gold is a half sister to Magic Millions Cup and Newcastle Newmarket winner Walking or Dancing and the Sandown stakes winner Irongail.
